What a wonderful experience. Really, I loved everything about the program in Siena. The language instruction was fun and amazingly personalized. I not only made great progress with my Italian language but learned language associated with my area of interest, veterinary medicine and animal behavior. I worked hard, but the program was by no means all work. Also included in the program were private guided tours of museums and historic sites, vineyards and cooking lessons -- all conducted by real experts that were as personable as they were knowledgeable. The apartment I stayed in was close to the Campo but far enough away (10 minute walk) that I was in a real neighborhood and away from the tourist area. Not everyone might like the 4 flights of stairs to the apartment but I thought it was great. Because it was high up, there was a view from the bedroom window over the Tuscan countryside.

What I hadn't realized when signing up was that we would have Guido to take care of us from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I cannot say enough good things about him. He arranged everything, fielded all curveballs, helped us in every possible way and was a really, really nice guy too. He even arranged our COVID tests required to reenter the US.

I also want to say is how much I appreciated that L and L pulled my whole program together in week. I reached out when I had some last minute time off and they made it happen. And all for a fair cost. No unexpected fees or singles supplements. Very transparent. The only surprise was that more was included than I thought.

My daughter and I had an amazing time in San Miguel de Allende! Amazing culture, beautiful city, great food and art combined with a fun and interactive educational experience. Everything was planned to perfection, and our local guides were very personable and responsive. I only wished we could have stayed longer.

I spent 2 amazing weeks in puerto Vallarta learning Spanish Everyday with jovanny my Spanish teacher, who was the absolute best!. I plan on returning next year again. The condo and area I chose was very beautiful. Thankyou to Richard for makeing my 2 weeks so memorable.

Fantastic private lessons every morning - a combo of sitting, walking, exploring Oaxaca - with time on my own to shop and have lunch - followed by afternoons with my "maestro"s" sister - also a language teacher but with a masters in art who i toured museums and galleries with! I loved the combo of learning and free time. Richard Phelps runs a great operation - i can't wait to do more in another locale - perhaps Barcelona next! He also found lovely accommodations, centrally located with terrific staff and saw that i was picked up and delivered to the airport! A afternoon trip to the countryside with Luis was excellent as well. Bravo Language and Luxury!

I highly recommend Language & Luxury. I was looking for a language immersion program that also served as a vacation. L&L did a wonderful job coordinating all aspects of the trip. The tutor was excellent and the day tours were delightful. My husband and I even took a cooking class. I am typically the vacation planner in my household and I'm pretty good at it. However, I've discovered that working with a travel company that knows the destination does make a positive difference.
