We have frequented the India Avenue location for years but visited here for the first time. I love the fish tacos and they were on point tonight. Great oceanfront scenery and more plentiful seating. Will be back soon.
This place was awesome. Fresh quality fish, cooked perfectly however you want. Lots of options from poke to sandwiches. Very quick and friendly service. Most importantly it is dog friendly with lots of seating in the shade. Will be back!
This is only a 4 star review because the food is phenomenal, but it really should be a 3 star review based on the terrible service and misleading menu.
The food is absolutely wonderful. It is some of the best seafood in San Diego. We had the scallop tacos, cod tacos, track taco, onion rings, and ahi poke. Everything was amazing.
The service was awful and I wish I tipped less at the take-out counter. The online menu is inaccurate compared to their print menu. If something is market price then update your online menu. If you sell something ‘per taco’ then don’t say ‘tacos’ in the description. The lady taking our order even couldn’t keep everything straight. She told us that they didn’t sell scallop tacos despite them clearly being on the menu, which we were able to order and enjoy. These are simple things they need to resolve.
When they served our food they didn’t even serve it at the same time for the four of us. They brought out two meals and then brought out the others about 7-10 minutes later. It wasn’t even a busy time at the restaurant so they can’t blame it on a busy crowd.
Overall, they need to get better and proper restaurant service for many items. If you can deal with the terrible service then you’ll get some terrific seafood, but don’t expect to eat it at the same time as the rest of your table. I’ll be back since the food is superb.
Blue Water was magnificent. We ended up here two nights in a row for dinner to see what new fish had come in. The sashimi was extremely fresh. The dishes were very well put together an paired with sauces. Even the beer battered fish and chips was great. Nice, dog friendly, outdoor eating area with sunset views. Plus, a great selection of local and CA based beers to choose from.
