Jake and his team have been the best technicians and aficionados I've seen in the West Coast since I've moved here, and I hope to keep them the only hands that touch my z4 and any other BMW I own down the line. What the shop lacks in size or corporate polish, they make up with what must be a collective century or more of weathered, grease-covered experience and love for the cult of oil. If you can get a moment when Jake is free, be sure to talk shop- his salt and breadth of knowledge is good for a dose of humor and humble-pie.
