Affordable Self Storage Reservation & Payment Office

I worked out of here for 4 years, came at all times of day and night. Staff was super accommodating and friendly (especially the maintenance men, mis amigos Trigeros)! Prices were reasonable.

Affordable Self Storage is the best storage in the City -- and is certainly much, much better than anything I've found here in San Diego.

I've just finished moving out of San Francisco, and first put my stuff into Affordable Self Storage over five years ago! Don't get me started on the how's and wherefores, but...

**** 27/7 access is excellent! Security is always on hand so that there's no need to worry about 'creepers', as my daughter calls them...

**** All units are at ground level, and you can drive right up to them. As another reviewer pointed out, there is no lighting inside the units, and if you pack stuff in at midnight (as I often did), you'll need your headlights..

**** Very reasonable prices. I disagree with the other reviewer who found them expensive; I certainly can't find anything cheaper now -- and couldn't 5 years ago, either. And the prices are still the same as I paid back then, too. Oh, and I got my deposit back days after I moved out

**** Very helpful, friendly staff. The guys and gals there really worked hard to make everything work out for me, from my expansion from one storage unit to three (Three?!? OMG, how did I get into that situation? Did I mention it was 5 years?!?), to helping me set up auto-bill pay options, to working with me on merging the three down (eventually) to one; the staff was continually courteous, always willing to search for options and make things work out best for me

The storage units are repurposed cargo containers (I never had issues w/ bugs, birds, or other vermin; I did have water damage this very last move -- but had had no leaks in the 4-3/4 years to that point -- apparently the rains were so hard that they surfaced over the threshold in my bottom corner unit, so that the two or three layers of paper (old posters) got a little wet)

Also, the driveways to the units are not terribly wide, so that I did have to jostle for position with other stores on some busy weekends.

Other than that, I had nothing but positive experiences to report

... I've stored stuff in multi-level places with drive-in access to lots o' dollies -- but they'd close at 7pm, doors by 6:30; and so was always difficult to store stuff and keep a job

Here in San Diego I had a storage unit that was 25% more expensive for 50% of what I paid in SF at Affordable; it also closed at 7pm, had a security gate which people continually piggy-backed through (w/ no apparent consequence), had open ceiling in a large warehouse building -- meaning that birds pooped on my stuff. And this was the bargain of the bunch!

Moving to Treasure Island. Boo!

Nah... if you need to store some stuff (Burners, I'm talking to you!) and it doesn't need to be in a temp. controlled environment AND you need 24-hour access to said stuff... THIS is the place for you (err... your stuff).

Great place easy access never had an issue in over a year employees are friendly and helpfull

Location is incredible, easy to get to and a great view of the bay. Units are clean, well maintained, 24 hour gated access with very nice and friendly security people. You may pay a little more but it is worth it for the access and how well it's kept up. The staff was great. It is well worth paying extra to drive right up to your unit, it saves so much time and strain. Look no further!
