Always a pleaser and ever-changing. Carefully curated seasonal ingredients with the utmost attention to letting those flavors shine. Relaxing space, gracious staff and an overall amazing dining experience. I’ve dined at many places around the world, and I keep going back to Octavia!
Octavia is a fun, creative, exciting project that I was very happy to support and experience and would just as happily send you all its direction too, I just felt that it was slightly overpriced for the quality and execution of what we got. Two of the dishes we ordered they didn't have, despite the best efforts of our server, Molly, who was excellent all-round. And while that sort of in-the-moment drying out of resources doesn't and shouldn't reflect on the restaurant overall, it did affect our experience that night, and is partially reflected in my rating, though we hold nothing against the place and it was a bit unlucky. Definitely get dessert if you go, that's where they shine brightest. A fun and worthwhile experience.
Update:
Since pandemic they lost their Michelin star and it feels like the food is just good and not great...
Great delicious food, more of European style meets New American. Service was good. Great wine selection. Daily changing menu.
Order: got the tasting menu, which was a few amazing apps, pasta, quail, salmon and deserts.
Verdict: really outstanding and not too expensive, totally worthwhile. Apps better than mains though.
