ZAP does wonderful post work! We love working with them on all aspects of finishing projects. From their private screening room to view works in progress, to color correction, PBS prep, mastering and duplication (DCP, Blu-Ray and DVDs)—they do it all!

ZAP is a fantastic place in San Francisco to handle your post production needs. Their DCPs, BluRays and DVDs are so well made and the quality control is excellent. They also have a great screening room for doing test screenings and cast/crew screenings. ZAP is one of the few places left where you get personalized service from people who really care about filmmakers. They’re the best!

Kris Samuelson and I first went to ZAP in 2011 to online a doc we shot in Tokyo. We've brought other projects to them since and are about to online our latest film there and wouldn't consider anywhere else. They have always handled everything we've brought through the door: basic online, grading, help with text/titles, conversions of all kinds (e.g. random archival material), telecine of 16mm, and output of all kinds, like Blu-ray and DCPs. Aside from a consistent high level of quality, Kim and his colleagues are flexible and will do whatever is needed to bring the quality to the finish line. They also have a superb screening room we've used to check material and screen cuts for feedback. They do it all, do it well, and are straightforward and honest. You can't do better.

Zap always does amazing work bringing the perfect finishing touches to the films I bring to them. Can't go wrong with them. Theyprovide wrap around services: have a great screening room to watch your film on a big screen before it goes out in the world, work with great colorists, and can produce any deliverables you need from DVDs to DCPs. And most helpful: no technical details escapes Kim but he can talk you through all of it in plain English. A gift!
