Love this church and these people!!
I had been looking for my spiritual home for some time. Lo and behold, I found it at last at Eucharist Church! What is the church? It is a family of believers. I found this family warm and loving. I felt so welcomed and given “water’ to satisfy my spiritual thirst. I hope to visit whenever I am in the Bay Area. Eucharist Church offers many exciting spiritual events. I especially enjoyed weekly Table Group suppers which are held at a priest or member’s home where we appreciate fellowship. I am impressed by the dedicated priests who lead us to green pastures. How much do I love Eucharist Church? Let me count the ways! This is a wonderful little parish and I am so grateful that my husband and I have found a home here. We are new to the Anglican community and we feel so welcomed and comfortable. The pastoral team goes out of their way to really explain and dive deep with you. The whole community of people are so loving, caring, and genuinely running after Jesus Christ and seeking His kingdom.
I appreciate this little, growing church. They are not going to hype you into an experience, and on the other hand, they will not bore you with a flat liturgy. It is an Anglican church startup, which means the people who come really want to be there, and this shows in the warmth and ease in the atmosphere. As Anglicans, they use participatory prayers and confessions of faith. I find it beautiful and meaningful to realize I'm doing this with people all over the world as has been done throughout Christian history. The liturgy and eucharist are very grounding and renewing to me, and it's awesome to find a Protestant church that offers the eucharist (communion) every week.
Depending on who is leading worship (the singing part), it can be contemplative or more energetically celebratory. I enjoy both styles, and like that the various people who lead the singing are free to express their own personalities. I don't think anyone feels like they're in a box in this church.
This church needs families with children, which they want and are prepared to minister to. So if anyone has kids, they should know this is a place where they are welcome.
