A bit pricey but a really cool tour. I've lived in California most of my life and in the Bay Area for over a decade, so I've done the touristy stuff and I've done the local stuff, but this was still quite a unique and fun tour. We got picked up in a van at Fisherman's Wharf and got a checklist, broken out by neighborhood, of all the movies we were going to see filming locations of (with year of release and top billed stars listed as well!). There was a big-screen TV toward the front of the van that everyone could see and we watched clips of movies as we drove by the locations they were filmed at, all the while the guide Bryan giving narration of the movie, the scenes, the history of the area, and all kinds of interesting info. One could stay in the van the entire time, but there were a few spots to get out and take a bathroom break, take pictures, or go to an extra site or two. The whole thing took almost exactly 3 hours and we were dropped off right at the entrance to Fisherman's Wharf.
Definitely worth it!
I took some of my college students on this tour last week and this tour did not disappoint. The tour was promptly on time, full of great movie stops, fun facts about all the films and then some, and we event got to squeeze in a couple extra filming locations. There were probably over 20 films featured on the tour. My students really enjoyed the experience!
What a great, personable tour! Bryan was great, knowledgeable and happy to make stops for us to take pictures. San Francisco can be pretty chilly but taking this tour kept us out of the weather and we still saw all of the main sights and more! Great tour for movie buffs and anyone who wants to learn more about the city and history of San Francisco! Highly recommend!
This has got to be by far one of the best tours my wife and I have ever been on. We had a scheduled tour for Wednesday and on Monday evening Bryan called me and asked if we could move it to Tuesday due to not enough people on Wednesday, he said if we couldn’t it’s ok he will still give us the tour. We agreed to Tuesday afternoon and there were only 3 others with us. Bryan coordinated the movie to go along with the tour and was spot on! He was extremely nice and allowed us to go off the beaten path to see some other houses.
He even dropped us off where we wanted to, not where we were picked up.
Bryan was very knowledgeable about all the movie info. I loved that you could watch the movie clip that corresponded with the site we were viewing. He allowed us plenty of time to take pictures. I never felt rushed. Very respectful and nice. A great Tour. So glad we did it. It was nice because we got views of the City that we wouldn't normally get to see. Definitely a must do!
