  I scheduled a salmon fishing trip with with Captain Dew for my husbands birthday and it was the BEST adventure! Captain Dew and Pablo are so knowledgeable of sport fishing and they really made our experience so enjoyable. We look forward to making these trips a tradition for my husband’s birthday, and possibly squeezing some excursions in between! I highly recommend this charter to anyone who is looking for exceptionally great service and a fantastic time fishing!

  We fished with Captain Dew and mate Pablo on 8/20/18. We were on a short vacation to California and wanted to make the most of our time with a charter for salmon. We had never salmon fished before, but Pablo and Dew were very good teachers and made the learning process very easy. We started off the morning trolling for salmon, and we caught a nice sized Halibut and Ling Cod. The salmon didn't really want to cooperate that morning, so Captain Dew called an audible and we went to rockfish for a couple hours. After we caught our limits of rockfish, and a couple lingcod, we went back to salmon trolling and actually caught one. Captain Dew was flexible to adjust the plan in order to put us on the fish and ensure we were having a great experience. He and Pablo were very patient teachers and friendly people. The boat was very clean, and all the equipment was working well. All I can say is that you won't be disappointed with your fishing trip, and you can't go wrong with Captain Dew! They also took care of all the filleting even though it took a really long time. The fish are delicious, and I look forward to booking again.

  We went Salmon fishing on opening day and caught more fish than we knew what to do with! And they were HUGE too. Everyone on the boat caught their limits. Captain Dew is so knowledgeable. He took us deep sea and we also saw a ton of whales which was incredible. Steve was awesome and fun too! The fishing trip was so successful that my sister flew in from Florida and we went salmon fishing AGAIN! Captain Dew and Steve took us to a different spot closer to the shore and it was a completely different, but still amazing, experience from the first trip. We caught our limits that trip as well and sent her back to Florida with fresh King Salmon right from the pacific.

  Went salmon fishing this weekend with Captain Dewey on the Mooch Better Fishing Charter out of Half Moon Bay. Our salmon season this year has been delayed for 2 months. I've been biting at the bit to get back out on the ocean to salmon fish. The season did however open much further south so most fisherman were unwilling to make the run. I heard through the grapevine that Captain Dewey was willing to travel all the down to Pigeon point in order to get to the fish.
  
  What a pleasure. A beautiful, well appointed, spacious, remarkably comfortable boat with a Captain as avid a fisherman as I am. After a long cruise to the fishing grounds Captain Dewey was relentless pursuing the salmon. Despite the long ride he spent over 8 hours fishing. He clearly is not just putting his time in. He's dedicated to getting his clients into the fish. It's obvious he is still loves fishing and it's not just a job. I have fished all around the world and finding an outfitter/guide who is as competent at his job and has the personality and demeanor to make a long day an absolute pleasure is uncommon. A Yeoman's job and nothing but kudos. Thanks again Captain Dewey for all courtesies extended.

  We simply had the best time with Captain Dewey and his deckhand Steve. I took my 11-year old son salmon fishing in September for his birthday. Dewey is the nicest, accommodating and professional captain. He even served us great coffee and donuts! We were not even out of the harbor for 5 minutes and my 11-year old reeled in his first salmon. We ended up catching our limit by 4 pm and brought home 55 lbs of salmon! If you want to catch them, call Dewey, he will make sure you will! And they are BIG!!!
