  I was one of the early 23andMe DNA report customers, and the concept of telomeres and their measurement seemed like a natural adjunct to the DNA test. I generally look and come off younger than my years and was disappointed to find that my "teloyears" exceed my chronological age. A retest a few months later agreed with the first test. I read two Elizabeth Blackburn (telomere researcher) books and was able to have a consultation with an adviser. The likely conclusion was my body having kept score on earlier life complex trauma. I thought that was water over the bridge, but it wasn't deep down. That's all very interesting and actionable so I'm taking steps to see if I can improve my telomere scenario. I had the original and one retest and will do another in a year or so to see how I've done. All in all, this has been a positive experience to gain the new knowledge, even though it was bad news of a sort. I like to know these things. Unlike the 23andMe DNA test where you spit, this one involves getting a small blood sample. That was easy though and not painful with a little diabetic lance.

  Great service. It’s a DNA test with high accuracy. Customer service and time you have to wait to receive results isn’t the best, but it’s probably bc they are growing pretty fast. Would definitely recommend.

  I wanted to know if the lifestyle changes I made had helped so I took the test. I took the test and sent it in. Two weeks later I got a letter saying the test had been compromised and they were sending me another test. A week or so later, another test arrived and I sent that one back. I got an email saying they had received the test and could expect the results in a few weeks. I was pleasantly pleased with the findings as it showed that my lifestyle changes had an effect. This is not a test that is going to tell you what diseases you have or are prone to; that’s not the kind of test this is. What it does do is tell you how well you can recover in terms of cell growth and generation. As we get older these things slow down but with lifestyle changes we can prolong it that’s why I took the test. I plan to take it again in a year as I continue my journey to see if I continue to improve. Well they’re not good at responding to emails but do keep track of your study. When I sent an email to inquire about the last test they did not respond to that email. But later sent me an email saying that they had received it and you’re processing it and I could expect the results in a few weeks.
