Its a pretty good hike within the bay area. On a clear day you get to see the bay, the stanford dish and the university and the Pacific and San Francisco.
So many happy hiking hours spent wandering around these magical hills!
I think Gusty Gulch would have a certain alliterative ring to it, but Windy Hill is apt enough. Starting from the bottom and hiking up to the top is well worth the exercise and the view. Additional caution if there has been recent rainfall, but generally the paths are clear and easy to hike - if steep at times. If you want the quick experience you can park near the top of the trail and skip the worst of the hills, however there's no good way to skip the wind unless you just look at the pictures online.
There's a nice wooden playground for kids 2-5. This was a great place to bring the kids and then go for a hike with a river nearby and trails taking you up hills. Also a large grass field. Nice variety and location
A great hiking location with some amazing trails. There are a few different routes to choose from when starting from the parking lot but any of them are a great choice. If you choose to go on a longer hike you will most likely be headed up Windy Hill but as you increase in elevation the views become more spectacular!
