Love this trail. It's shady and an easy trek. Trail is quite wide and plenty of room for cyclists and dog walkers
One of my go to rides. Mostly all mountain bikers so be careful if you are a hiker. Probably not the best trail for hiking.
Exhilarating! Gorgeous! Great for a hike, jog, run or ride! Come remind yourself just how small you are in this incredible world.
This is one of my favorite local trails for mountain biking. Continuing on to Indian rock or even the 9/35 intersection is a great workout. There are often hikers, so be careful and courteous, use a bell if you have one.
A good place to start your biking adventures on John Nicholas Trail and beyond. By parking your car here, you'll start on a slight descent and then deal with most of the climb, leaving the long and fun descent for the way back. If you're like me and prefer to pay for your sins in advance and them enjoy them, this is the way to do JNT.
Please note that the parking lot here is super limited (basically, it's a pullout on Black Rd converted to a mini parking lot). You can fit probably 4 to 5 cars here, no more. Be prepared to park alongside Black Road.
