He will fix you. My coworkers all recommended Brandt Pedersen at Positive Motion Chiropractic. They all said, he will fix you. I went in with neck and upper back pain from repetitive stress (hardhats, bad ergonomics, etc.). He not only did adjustments (neck, back, limbs), he will gave me the tools and exercises to fix the problem, and strengthen the muscles whose weakness contributed to it. I've tried other chiropractors and all they did was adjust my back and send me away. This did nothing to fix the underlying problem or provide a long term solution for my pain. Brandt's sports medicine background is a great help in both finding the source of my neck and back problems and in finding lasting relief from them. He's the best I've ever found.
I don't write many reviews, but dr Pedersen deserves my praise!
It all started on Oct 7, 2018, when I got an excruciating pain in my lower back, almost out of the blue, that basically put my life upside down.
Based on my MRI, I was diagnosed with a herniated disk between L1/L2 and a bulging disk between L5/S. I was told to stop exercising, which is extremely hard for an active person like me, but I did it as I wanted to get better soon, was in a lot of pain and afraid to re-injure.
I was going twice a week to PT and twice to a chiropractor at first and then an acupuncturist (which included a massage); so I basically traded exercising for 4 days of therapies, with little to no positive results.
Long story short, after 3 months of doing this new regime and almost no exercise (besides some swimming and hiking), I was not getting better and was still in pain, completely discouraged and with no end in sight.
As a very good friend of mine had recommended dr Pedersen, I decided to try him, even though I had to pay out of pocket and go all the way to Los Gatos, far away from San Francisco, where I live.
That was the best decision I have made & wish I would have done it as soon as I got injured. He diagnosed me right away differently: it's your psoas muscles he said and gave me a belt to wear for a couple of weeks. Within 2 days I was feeling better. After a month of seeing him once a week, doing the exercises and following his recommendations (I stopped everything else), I was pain free and started doing some of the activities I love the most: skiing, dancing, zumba, yoga (modifying poses). I call it magic, but know it's his training & desire to heal his patients.
Learning how to sit and how to maintain my spine in the correct posture have been crucial to my recovery and owe it all to him.
I highly recommend dr Pedersen to anyone; he is totally worth the money, the distance and whatever you may think is excessive or out of your budget. Health is priceless and if one accounts for deductibles, copays and most importantly, results, there would be no second guessing choosing dr Pedersen.
Thank you so much, dr Pedersen! You have made it possible for me to return to my active self and have given me hope & faith in my healing process. And I can't thank you enough for all of it!
Dr. Brant is great. Apart from regular chiropractic care that has improved shoulder pain I have had for years - he helped me with a heel pain that I got after jumping on some rocks at a beach a few months ago. He got me an X-ray and Radiologist reading for $25 - that's right $25. Since there was no fracture to my heel he recommend Gel Heel cups which I bought on Amazon for $10. I am sure if I had gone to a doctor and then a specialist this whole process would have cost me a few thousand dollars....highly recommended and a very nice guy as well!
Yesterday I took the sitting class at Positive Motion Chiropractic and WOW, this class was a total game changer!!! I can’t believe how comfortable sitting "with good posture" can actually be…when done properly; who knew?! It’s crazy to think that something so simple can be done so wrong which then leads to tired, achy muscles and being left with no energy at the end of the day. Dr. Pedersen went through the anatomy of the spine and muscles with us and explained how sitting incorrectly can lead to the soreness so many of us have at the end of the day. He guided each one of us through the steps of sitting with good posture (which was not what I had always thought) and worked with us one-on-one as we practiced sitting properly. I highly recommend this class for anyone who sits! It was extremely helpful and I am looking forward to sitting tall and pain-free for all the years to come.
