Both my kids take piano lessons with Amanda at Mountain View Piano. They learned a lot in a short amount of time (& they had fun doing it). She uses the Simply Music method & is extraordinarily patient, creative, skilled & knowledgeable. She also recently pivoted to online lessons exceedingly well and allowed students to continue learning while following the social distancing guidelines that have been in place for the last couple of months. Amanda helped us sort out how to set things up to make the lessons as seamless and helpful as possible. She also arranged for her students to participate in a virtual party at the end of last week so that they could perform for each other and celebrate their continued progress. It was an engaging and rewarding event for all. We highly recommend Amanda as an online teacher - she totally rocks!

MV Piano is the best piano education for kids and adults in Silicon Valley. The method of instruction is fun, compassionate and effective.

The founder, Amanda, is extremely supportive of helping each of her students with their individual needs, and tailoring the approach to what will make it a success for each person.

My kids started taking lessons 2 years ago, and my son is already composing and improvising his own songs, and performing them in front of large audiences, and having fun doing it.

I personally had a classical music education as a child, it was based on sight reading. I burned out and wasn't able to touch the piano for 20 years, even though I had a lot of talent as a child.

After seeing the transformation of my kids with Amanda, I decided to take lessons myself. She has helped me transform my relationship with piano and music into one of spontaneity, fun and community.

I'm so grateful to Amanda for giving this gift to my family. I've already referred several friends to Amanda who rave about her as well.

My son Jason has enjoyed learning how to play the piano with Amanda. She cares about nurturing a life long love of music. The simply music program is great for boosting confidence quickly after just a couple lessons.

This is an alternative music program that has worked well for our six year old. Amanda *really* loves music and *really* understands the material. Her enthusiasm, experience and easy-going manner have made this program and her style/routine a good fit for our family.

Teacher Amanda Griffith, Mountain View Piano and the Simply Music program are Fantastic! When it was time for my children to learn music, I really wanted our whole family to take and make music, and I wanted my children to have a musical foundation that that would last them a lifetime. When a friend told me about teacher Amanda, I knew it was what I was looking for. She offers piano, voice, guitar, and flute. The program has you continuously build on successes by first playing piano (with BOTH hands) by memory as you learn harder skills in reading music. You experience music theory and use it in composition so that when you learn it, you really understand it and can apply it. Teacher Amanda also provides a lot of opportunities in playing with others, casual performing, and family music. She is also much more than just a music teacher. She adapts extremely well to the needs and style of the individual student and is really excellent in helping child students develop as people as well as musicians -- to learn not just musical skills but skills in performing and handling stress, dealing with challenges and frustration and in planning projects. Our whole family is playing piano (kids started at 4 and 6) and she has me playing flute again after 25 years. Now our family will always have music as a fun part of our lives.
