I LOVED all the classes I took here in 2014. Dorthy Tyo was one of the best instructors I have ever had. She created such a warm and nurturing environment for our classes. She gave me the confidence to easily step outside of the box. I have had a successful Hypnotherapy Practice now for five years thanks to the fabulous foundation I received here. Lisa Petrocchi and Dave Wilson are also great assets to PASOH. I use many deepening techniques everyday that I learnt from Dave's Eriksonian Class.
I just finished the basic class yesterday! It was 10 weeks long and truly a transformational experience. Coming in, I was already drawn to hypnotherapy and researched it online. I attended the free introduction night and liked PASOH because it felt like "home". The community is very warm and welcoming and not like a business culture, but it has the good feel of a personal development culture---you can be yourself and not worry about it. My intention and purpose for signing-up was for personal growth and to apply hypnotherapy to myself; while others in the class signed-up with an intention to become a practicing hypnotherapist and launch a means to earn or enhance their livelihood by helping others.
Prior to starting, I had never been hypnotized or experienced hypnosis. The first thing you learn is the basics, like the difference between stage hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Stage hypnosis is the magic acts and Las Vegas-style or talk-show style hypnosis that most people think of when they hear "hypnosis"---an unfortunate stereotype. Hypnotherapy, on the other hand, is the application of using positive suggestions during a relaxed state, that helps people overcome fears or phobias, or helps them improve performance or enhance happiness. Then you learn how to do inductions into a relaxed state and various techniques for doing effective positive suggestions.
Although the approach and methodology of the classes are geared for becoming a practitioner (hypnotherapist), you learn that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis, so it was very useful for learning how to do self-hypnosis. I immediately made my own scripts and recordings on my phone and listened to my own recordings before going to bed each night. I got immediate results! I was surprised at the immediate results, especially on a health aspect that was bothering me; meanwhile other issues are a more long-term self-development challenges. Bottom line: it works!
One of the greatest things about the class is classmates! Everyone is supportive and warm. You will practice creating inductions (hypnotherapy scripts) and putting your fellow classmates into hypnotic trance. And you will see just how simple and powerful hypnotherapy is. You will learn that it is very safe and that anyone who has the will and motivation to do it, can put others in a relaxed state and help them with positive suggestions that actually change their subconscious thinking and actual behavior. You will also see that this is just the beginning and that one can learn techniques, modalities and trigger language to be more efficient, effective and impactful.
One of the things that is super-interesting is the past life regression workshop. Whether you believe in past lives or not, this was a game-changer in philosophy about life as we know it. Our teacher, Dorothy, did it as a group with us, and you will be so surprised as to people's experiences, as we talk and discuss the experience afterward. This one class on past life regression in itself is a transformational eye-opener.
After the basic class, they offer Clinical, Advanced, and Medical hypnotherapy courses. If you take them all over the span of 1-2 years, you will acquire 300+ hours and can earn a Master Hypnotherapist certificate. I'm happy with my CHt certificate after the basic course (Certified Hypnotherapist). And with it, I am confident I can safely and effectively do hypnotherapy with my family and friends. And, I know I will continue to make profound changes in my own life by utilizing self-hypnosis techniques, in regards to prosperity, success, health and happiness

I found this school after an intense research, and now I thank the divine supreme power for finishing my course there. Madam Dorothy not only teaches the course content but also she helped me heal myself completely, something that didn't happen when I took the same course in India last year. I am grateful to Madam Dorothy, Ms Lisa and all my batch mates for having helped me in different ways throughout the course. Can't wait to join the advanced course that's about to start soon 😊

I am an amateur hypnotist, and a huge fan of the tactic. I've used it myself to stop biting my nails and quit smoking, and I can tell you hypnosis really works.
But finding a good hypnotherapist can be quite a challenge; and finding a professional school even harder.
This is one of the very very few places in the nation, where one can learn how to be a good hypnotherapist. So if you're interested in learning how, check them out. They can also refer you to others.
