Parents' Nursery School Co-Op

Our family loves PNS! We feel cared, welcomed, and loved! We can't speak enough of the good things of PNS, huge beautiful yard, countless toys, creative art projects, story times, music circle times, cute chicken and guinea pigs! The teachers are making sure all the kids are having everything they need for their development, and parents are helping each other like a truly caring community. What is the most grateful under the current pandemic, is that the school board and parents are working hard to make sure our kids' safeness, so that's why we haven't had a single spread out within our community.

My son started the PNS last August, and he loves the school so much. The campus is huge, plenty of outdoor for kids to play. Can’t believe it is a preschool campus. :)) Everyday activities designed by Teacher Amy are so great, including math activities, art activities and cooking every month. Everyday snack is very health. We are so happy to join the school.

When Covid kept the public schools closed for the start of the 2020 school year, I was lost as to what to do with my three-year-old. My older son would start distance learning Kindergarten, but I didn't want my daughter to be completely without school for the year. Luckily, I saw that Parents Nursery School was planning to re-open on a friend's Facebook page. Curious, I clicked to the website and saw they were running a PNS @ Home program. It's been nothing short of amazing. We get a box every week with new activities, crafts and toys from the school. The teachers also offer several optional zoom meetings throughout the week, so my daughter feels connected and important, just like her brother. I can't say enough about the wonderful community of teachers and parents that welcomed us in right away, even though we'd never been to the actual school. When Covid cases eased in fall, we were also able to join a play group after school so we could finally enjoy the amazing play yard that parents rave about. If you're looking for a kind and caring place to send your child, can commit to be involved in their early learning, and want build a community of other parents, I highly recommend PNS!

I started coming with my first child over three years ago when I wasn’t ready to leave her in a drop-off preschool. Different from other places I’d seen, here I felt welcome to stay with my child for as long as I felt was right for her (and me).

By being part of the class as a teaching parent on my weekly workday, I got to know the children, teachers, and parents my child spent her mornings with. I learned to work out conflicts with and between our children in a loving, respectful way. I got to see our kids playing around chickens and guinea pigs, climbing trees, baking bread, making soup, building obstacle courses.

My family loves the concept of the school and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates a play-based environment and wants to be part of their kids’ preschool.
