Tesla Collision San Jose

  Started out late January of 2022. Hit something on the freeway and ended up damaging my fender and rocker panel. Went to a shop in Fremont since the Tesla collision center was closed during that time. The Fremont shop forgot to order my parts. Anyways, finally got my appointment to the San Jose Tesla collision center and was told 1 month to fix. I got a call within two weeks from Tesla telling me that my car was fixed and ready for pickup. They did a decent job. What made my experience better was Valeria who was assisting me while i picked up my car. She showed first class assistance to customers. That makes a huge difference to just getting your car back. You get your car back without frustration. She was awesome and a delight to talk to.

  I'm sure people have horror stories from any body shop, but my experience here was the exact opposite. I took my white Model 3 here for a ding repair that was right on the seam of the door panel, so it couldn't be pulled out. Ron had my estimate complete in a few hours and we were able to start the repair the same day. I was quoted 5 days turn around but I got it back in two days (dropped off Wednesday morning and picked up Friday morning). The quality of the work wasn't factory status, but it was color matched well and the ding was gone!
  
  I think what impressed me the most is that they completely detailed the interior and exterior of my car upon return (wheels, tires, vacuum inside, washed outside including door jams) and charged my car to 75%. That's customer service!
  
  My only criticism is that they are expensive. Don't expect any "hookups" from this shop. They could easily be double the cost of a non-Tesla shop.

  This is my second time at the Tesla body shop. It was just a minor repair this time as someone hit me (and ran) in a parking lot in SoCal.
  
  The only downside is they are too busy, so I originally had an appointment that was >2 months out. However, once they contacted me, they pulled in my appointment from Jul 15 to Jun 3. The communication was great during the repair, and initially they said it might take two weeks for the repair, but completed the job 3 days early.
  
  Great experience again.

I took my Tesla to a few local Tesla-certified repair shops to get estimates. They all warned me that it would take usually 3 weeks or more to get parts from Tesla. Then I heard that Tesla has recently opened its own repair center in San Jose.
