Berryessa Music School (formerly ATG Music School)

My daughter just had her one week summer camp at ATG Music School and she had a blast! Everyday when I went to pick her up from school she was filled with excitement, couldn't wait to share what she did and learn that day. And in the morning she is so eager to go to class.

Each day the students are introduced to a new instrument. Coming from a family with no music background, I really like ATG's schedule because it allows my daughter to be exposed to different instruments. She got a taste of strings, wind, percussion and even being a conductor!

Aside from music, they did arts & crafts, and stayed active during break time. I can tell my daughter had a great time through her smiley pictures that the school took and shared with me.

The camp includes snacks and lunch which is great because I don't have to worry about packing her a lunch bag.

If we didn't have trips planned, I would have enrolled her to more summer camp weeks.

Overall my daughter really enjoyed the summer camp and we will probably enroll her to have piano lessons here.

The teachers are friendly, nice, and caring. Ms.YaoYao, according to my daughter, is funny and great!

I’m so happy to find a convenient and professional music school for my two kids. My youger one started his first group piano with Ms. yaoyao. She is patient and knowledgeable, and always make young kids laugh in the class. My older kids has learned violin with Ms. yaoyao couple months ago. He is very enjoyable and progressive in the violin class.

I highly recommend ATG music school. What I like is:

1) convenient location right across Villa Sport with plenty of parking spots.

2) comfortable waiting area before class.

3) good sound-insulated classrooms.

4) many different instruments/classes being offered.

5) highly qualified teachers with impressive resume, (e.g., competition winner, international performer, with extensive teaching experience, etc.)

My kids are learning violin from their wonderful teacher, Ms. Yao Yao. They really love her and enjoy her classes a lot. They’ve made good progress and gained self confidence. They performed in the recital a couple months ago and they had a great experience.

The piano teacher Ms. Anna, who played the accompaniment on stage, was amazing. She played the accompaniment for different instruments so professionally and beautifully which helped students to perform at their best. I was impressed with her sight reading and elegant performing skill. Afterwards, I looked at her biography on the ATG website and found that she is an accomplished pianist and winner of a few international competitions. I think a school that can attract such a talented teacher is really good for their students.

An excellent music school. The teachers are professional and friendly. My son has been learning violin with Ms Yaoyao for several years. Ms Yaoyao is a talented and professional teacher. Under the careful guidance of Ms Yaoyao， my son has made great progress and enjoys playing the violin. I would recommend ATG Music School to my friends.

My son has been taking both individual class and group class from Ms. Yaoyao at ATG Music School for 2 years. Ms. Yaoyao is extraordinarily passionate about music and is very professional. She certainly passes the love for music to the students. My son started with little knowing in piano practice and knowledge and has transformed to become an avid piano player.
Ms. Yaoyao sets up the solid foundation, establishes practice routines, and coaches how to feel the music (not just the techniques), which certainly helps a beginner level student to advance to higher levels and further!
I also love the ways that Ms. Yaoyao teaches the students not just focusing on recital, exams, or competition, but the whole package of how to appreciate music and try immerse yourself into it! From the vivid examples and analogies of musical terms that she offered, the younger learners can grasp the concepts easily and put them into practice. No longer dry and boring stuff!
Ms. Yaoyao also provides a handful of options of books with various themes, purposes and level of difficulties for the students to practice.
