Very fun park to bring kids. I don't know if it's due to sustainability issues but be careful when the sun is out hot. Most play structures are metal.
Love this park. But be warned that it is often closed when you would think that a park wouldn't be closed. So, try checking the hours before you go. But usually they're just posted on a printout paper sign at the entrance to the park.
If, by chance it is open, enjoy!! So many fabulous activities for kiddos. Lots of picnic tables and nice bathrooms, as well as starving squirrels who are super friendly on the verge of aggressive
The first time I came here, I thought "dang this is a nice park!" everything is clean and will maintained and there's a ton of stuff to do! That was right after I moved up here from San Diego. Little did I know, these types of parks are common in south Bay and this one had no shade! They've since added a couple of shade things but there really isn't much stuff to do.
It gets over crowded and once that happens, it's simply not very enjoyable. The area to run around is minimal because they have the perfect ratio of open area to activity to make sure there is a small amount and on top of that, things are starting to break. The xylophone structure is missing a couple of chimes and hammers.
Still though, overall it's a nice park. Just not a perfect 5*one.
A great mix of garden types from roses to CA natives.
