This place just feels like home. Students receive top level instruction from world class instructors with bjj roots going directly back to Helio Gracie. They offer daily kids and family classes as well adult classes.

The facility is huge and has tons of mat space and punching bags for kickboxing training along with a great weight lifting area and clean bathrooms.

Go visit this gym to get a great workout, gain self confidence and learn self defense skills and meet some really great people.

I cannot overstate how happy my family and I’ve been to have found this gym. I was immediately drawn in by the family friendly environment when I first visited and the vibes have not changed since, nearly half a year later.

Our family of 4 (myself, wife and 2 kids) train here nearly everyday - we usually do the lunch time classes and take the kids for the evening training. It’s like our second home.

The instructions are first rate for both the kids and adults classes. The couple who teach the afternoon and kids classes, Anaue and Thamara, are world class competitors who have extensive knowledge of the sport. They are extremely detail oriented and are incredible at conveying the information. Erik, the owner, also teaches the noon classes and has had the best details I’ve ever seen for fundamentals.

I’ve been training for nearly 10 years and have moved all over the country, going to many different schools from old school Gracie lineages to modern day competition schools, and this is easily among the best I’ve ever had the pleasure to train in. I literally walk in everyday with a smile on my face.

Our experience at Claudio França BJJ in San Jose has been fantastic. The owner, Eric, is very personable and knowledgeable. The other instructors are very patient and clearly enjoy teaching newcomers and have a passion for the sport. This is not only a phenomenal work-out, but it is truly a lifestyle change.

My family, including my wife, 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son and I have all joined together and we enjoy the Little Jaguars class. We all learn new techniques and have been accepted by the instructors and students alike.

You get what you give in sparring sessions, no one is trying to injure you, and you learn discipline and to leave you ego at the door. If you’re looking for something to build confidence, strength, respect, discipline and encourage a team building mentality for you or your family, this is the gym for you.

awesome place to train! My son has been training here at Claudio Franca Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy for roughly 6 years. My daughters and wife have all taking classes here as well. very friendly and professional environment. Great instructors with experience and knowledge.
