Sam and the Pacific Air Duct team were extremely helpful and professional in scheduling the appointment and performing home air duct inspection and review. Sam was able to identify the problem and resolve the air flow issue in one visit to the property. I will use Sam and the Pacific Air Duct team for all future heat and AC services at our house. Thank you!

Pacific Air has remarkable customer service. Mark came out on time and clearly explained what was needed and how to proceed. He was professional, courteous and thorough. I strongly recommend this company and I will certainly use them again if needed.

Update: a week ago the AC suddenly stop blowing cold wind. So we called Pacific Air to fix the issue. Juan was such an expert. He quickly found out the leakage, and fixed it right away. And the most amazingly, it was covered by our 1 year labor warranty with Pacific Air!! So it was a free fix!!! This company is great!!

We installed LG 2-zone mini split ac. Very professional throughout the process and communication. Three guys (Sam, Jose, and don’t remember the other guy) worked great. Highly recommended. My neighbors are already interested in the installation and I’m recommending this company.

    Update:

After I raised these issues, Pacific Air contacted me almost immediately and offered to address them ASAP. My project manager, Sam, also contacted me and we discussed what went wrong. In the end we agreed that it was a combination of miscommunication and actual quality issues.

One week after I posted this review, everything has been taken care of. They upgraded the wiring, re-finished the torn insulation, and also took care of some other smaller issues. We passed the final inspection today, and we are satisfied with the end result.

Given how quickly and professionally Pacific Air and Sam have addressed my complaints, I am revising my rating to five stars.

    Original review:

We did a complete overhaul of the HVAC system at our Lafayette home: new AC, furnace, and all new duct system. Our project manager was Sam.

    Pros:
    1. Price was reasonable, about in the middle among the quotes we received.
    2. Sam was knowledgeable and I think his plan was sound.
    3. The crew showed up and left on schedule

    Cons:
    1. The work was performed in mid November. It's mid January now and we still haven't passed the final inspection. I had to track them down for HERS test, and I continue to call them for the inspection scheduling.
    2. Sam was responsive until the initial work was done but since then impossible to reach.
    3. In order to install the nest thermostat, they completely tore down the insulation in the basement / crawl space, fully exposing the back of the pocket door in the master bedroom. They left it like that and called it a day. I only discovered this a month later because we started to notice strong draft coming in through the pocket door. Pic attached.
    4. Our electrician pointed out that the wire gauge they used for AC was not up to code. Remains to be seen if this will pass the inspection also pic attached

It mystifies me that these guys have such good reviews. Maybe I got unlucky but my experience has not been positive. No matter what you do, do not pay in full before everything finishes, including the final inspection. And make sure the check the work yourself.

Will say that I knew right away this was a professional group from my initial meeting with Sam during inspection. I told him exactly what I was looking to do and he gave me the options without the pushy sales approach. Jay and his crew arrived and went right to work and got both our attic and crawl space cleaned in 1 day. I will definitely recommend this company to my friends and family.
