This place is a gem! Great selection, great service, knowledgeable staff, knife sharpening service, what more could you ask for?

Every time I go in here I buy a knife, I just can’t help it, the staff is great, they always go out of the way to help me understand steel type and help me decide on what will be the best choice for what I need the knife for.

Today I went to get a gift for a good friend and saw they had kitchen knives on sale, after getting help on which set is the best bang for the buck I bought some and am very happy! (I also got help on the gift).

These are the businesses we need to protect and keep around by shopping there!!! I’d gladly pay a few more bucks to talk to a person about knives but here the prices are great too just a great old school shop!!

I ventured to Sonoma Cutlery in Petaluma to buy my first set of adult knives (at 34 I thought it was time). My nieces (6+8) came with me for moral support, and to pick out gifts at Copperfield's Book next door. The staff greeted us friendly and fully masked. I had done a bit of research beforehand but was amazed by the readiness, and thoughtfulness of both staff members. I was out of the store within 30 minutes, after purchasing a 5 knife set, cutting board, magnetic stripe, and a-very-much-on-sale Straub Round Cocette (normally priced $250+ for $150!).

I'll be heading back there to pick up a few more things that caught my eye. Supporting local businesses that are knowledge, friendly and make you feel comfortable about your purchases is a no brainer. Thanks Sonoma Cutlery in Petaluma! Can't wait to cook for friends and family using all your merchandise.
