(March 17, 2019, 11:45 pm)Spent the weekend camping at Sugarloaf. When you arrived at the park, the kiosk directs you to the Visitor Center to check-in. The campground host runs the visitor center and is friendly and knowledgable about the trails. He sold us some firewood and a trail map of the area and directed us to our campsite. There are some basic provisions in the general store so if you have forgotten something vital at home, you may find a small version of it there. There are even supplies for making campfire s'mores. Yum.

The bus leaves hourly, between 9 a.m. and noon, from the Sugarloaf Ridge Visitor Center and the Goodspeed Trail parking lot on Adobe Canyon Road, with drop-off on the other end at Hood Mountain's Pythian Road parking lot. It leaves Pythian Road for Sugarloaf every half-hour between 9:30 a.m. and...
