Sutter Urgent Care - Turlock

Staff was kind, thorough, and patient with my sick child. I deeply appreciated their care. I was nervous for the strep test but the nurse was so quick and gentle that the test did not phase my toddler! I was so impressed! Thank you both, nurse and Dr Steven, for your care!

Check in was quick. I had a very short wait before being called back. The nurse was very pleasant and thorough and professional. I was very comfortable with her. The doctor was spot on…explained everything and made a plan. All in all it was an easy and comfortable prompt care visit and my problems were addressed and all the care was appropriate.

Check in when I got there was the best! Diana was very friendly and estimated a wait time to see the Dr as 90 min and explained all my paperwork to me! Well about 15 min later I got called back and a nice young man named Carlos took all my vitals and asked what was going on and said the Dr would be in to see me in a few minutes. 15 min later the Dr came in and asked me how I was feeling and what had brought me into the urgent care and I told him my issue and he said he would take some blood and told me what to eat cuz I told him I had nausea for 3 days already. He said he would call me back with the results of the blood work which he did about 5 pm and everything was normal except for my kidney function was a little low to drink plenty of fluids and if I needed to come back with the same symptoms then get back into the urgent care. The total time from check in to leaving was about 1 hour and the best costumer service and the place was very clean!

My overall experience was great considering this was an urgent care visit. I love that, even though this is urgent care, I was able to schedule an appointment.
I arrived at 12:15 for my 12:30 appointment as asked but was not seen until after 1pm and did not leave until 2:40pm.
I was told that at 10:30am that morning they closed urgent care because they were short staffed and couldn’t keep up with the volume of patients. My appointments was honored I had booked it prior to the decision to close. I think this is an excellent strategy! It gives potential patients the opportunity to go elsewhere instead of waiting several hours. It also allows nurses, doctors and other staff the ability to give each patient the necessary time and attention needed.
The receptionist was very kind, friendly and helpful and let me know that it would be a bit of wait. I appreciated the heads up.
The intake nurse was very pleasant.
The X-ray tech gave great information regarding the process.
The doctor took time to explain everything and answer my questions.
At no point during my entire visit did staff appear rushed or bothered by me. That is why I am still rating my experience a 5, despite the long wait. (Being short staffed was beyond their control.)
When things are busy and overwhelming it would be easy for staff to rush through as if I was part of an assembly line. The fact that every single person I interacted with was calm, patient and pleasant is amazing.
