Thank you for your well written report on the problem of mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are a danger to all of us. This is not knew. I suspect most people are not aware of what the The Delta Mosquito and Vector Control District does nor why the district was created.

I am an old guy and remember when mosquitoes were a much more common pest. Many homes has screened in porches for a reason. Mosquitos of several kinds are still a problem but the work of the Abatement District has dramatically reduced the threat of mosquitos for everyone on the community.

The staff of the district provide essential services to our community. The district has a highly qualified staff who provide a well considered plan for managing mosquitos and other pests that are a danger to all of us in Visalia. I found the staff helpful and friendly when I recently called them for information .

I really appreciate Darrin and Sherry from the Delta Vector Control.
I had first heard of them at the Tulare County fair regarding mosquitos control. This year we have a large number of mosquitoes that are found every where in the yard and on the porch. The mosquitoes cling to the doors and windows. You can't open the patio door or window without getting mosquitoes flying into the house.Even the bug zapper does not do its job to attract the mosquitoes and we have two bug zappers on the back porch.
Darrin came out yesterday to access the mosquito situation . He went back to the office to speak with his supervisor as to his findings. Because we have a sewer farm behind our property and the sewer farm did not cut the grass down when they drained the water, the mosquitoes are flying around for new places to either breed or hide. Sherry is the kindest and nicest person you could talk to regarding your mosquito problem. She has excellent customer service and she is prompt to call you back with an answer or with an appointment.
Today they came out to fog our place and they did a good spraying. I called after they fogged to see if there will be another foggy and to thank them for coming out. Sherry is very knowledgeable about what the guys do out in the field and when I asked if they would be out for a second foggy she said she would call me back. I did not have to wait long before she called me back with a reply. l really appreciate the job this office does to protect the residents from possible disease from mosquitoes especially when we have a two year old around. So thankful for the service and care Delta Vector provides. A big thanks to them.
