I wound up being so greatful for Dr. Wirtz's honesty and for not taking me for a financial ride. Alot of places in the industry won't protect you from bad decisions, especially since an injured kid can be a parents nightmare, turning that parent into a cash cow. My daughter was injured in sports, and although I knew she had an injury it never stopped her from hanging out with friends so I was reluctant because we live paycheck to paycheck. She kept insisting though that she was injured because she felt pain and it scared her so I took her in to Dr. Wirtz. After the first appointment he gave her advice (some of it she didn't follow). After the second appointment she insisted she wanted a brace for her injury, his take on it was as long as she sticks with it and I can afford it ok but it wasn't absolutely necessary. She insisted, but then wore it for three days, and then abandoned it afterward. Dr. Wirtz then started spacing out appointments by as much as two months apart telling me that we can cancel if need be. She was totally fine by then so sure enough I did, but if I need a chiropractor for my own injuries I'll be going to him.
