April Johannesen Music Lessons

April has been so encouraging and helpful without frustrating me. She has helped me fix so many bad habits that I had fallen into as a beginner. April is amazing at what she does and is very fun to be around because she is super sweet and funny.

Hello, I have been a student of April for about 3 years. I really like how organized she is (sends reminders before lessons and has a whole lesson plan) and she is willing to help whenever I need extra support on something. In addition, she teaches other separate skills that are equally valuable. She's also a great musician, so you're getting great value. I would highly recommend taking lessons from her!

April is amazing! She builds a relationship with her students that enables them to grow as musicians and as individuals. She knows exactly how to challenge her students to stretch their abilities without overwhelming them. She scaffolds her instruction to meet her students' needs. I would highly recommend April to be your child's music teacher!

I’ve been taking music lessons from Mrs. April for a couple years now and she is wonderful. She makes the music lessons fun and I think I’ve learned a lot.

We were very lucky to find April after going through a couple of other music teachers. Along with being a great musician, she's really patient and makes sure the kids are getting to play some songs they enjoy. April teaches music theory to kids better than anyone I've ever encountered. It's a welcome change from music teachers who only teach hitting the right notes in the same songs over and over.
