(July 14, 2022, 9:25 am)My grandson, Alex, is visiting from Michigan and LOVES trains. The gentleman working here was so kind and patient with my grandson who is autistic He took time to actually talk to my grandson and answered all his questions. Alex talked to him over an hour about all things train. Am so thankful places like this exist. The YMR train store funds youth who are able to afford pieces for their trains and set ups. Thank you for being so kind to those who are "different" and often ignored.

(September 13, 2021, 11:19 am)Great shop with the best prices on used model trains. You can find things in excellent condition as well. My son has an HO layout and can spend two hours easily in this shop and come away with a working engine and cars for $20-$40. You may want to verify their hours before going. I consider this place a “must see” business and highly recommend going here, it’s awesome.

(February 2, 2021, 5:13 pm)I got great deals on 2 brand new n scale rolling stock. one was a bachmann n scale rio grande boxcar which was 18.00 and a wheels of time santa fe boxcar for 18.00. would highly recommend for getting high quality products for very low prices!

(January 31, 2020, 9:30 am)Stopped here on a recent trip to Colorado after finding it online. Great little shop and great support for kids to get into model railroading.
They may want to update their website as the last post appears to be from 2016 so it looks like they may not exist. Happy I stopped by and picked up a few items. -

(May 15, 2018, 11:24 am)Great shop for train enthusiasts! It's small but their stock (both old and new) is always changing. Every time we go there we see something new. As I understand it, all the proceeds from this store support a model train youth organization, so shopping here helps to keep the hobby alive. Great deals, too! I found a Blackstone Mikado NIB for less than $100 (retail is more than $400). The only problem is that the store is only open on Saturdays. I think that's because its volunteer-run. Definitely worth a visit, though!
