Let me just tell you how polite, professional, educated and helpful this building department is!!
And William (Bill) Pataluna, one of their inspectors, I've never come across a city inspector so willing to change his schedule to accommodate an inspection. He has gone above and beyond what I would expect and beyond grateful for it.

Recently, I have found that the City of Centennial Building Dept. has made great strides in their customer service. Spencer called me back promptly, and helped me through some permitting issues. Richard and Lance have been helpful in moving my project forward while still enforcing the building codes. Good projects take a team, and it is great to have the city on that team.

As a homeowner doing a renovation almost completely by myself for the first time, the building department has been helpful in doing everything right. The inspectors are always on time and give helpful information on things that need to be corrected and tips and advice on things that could be issues. Bill has inspected a couple of times at my house and is knowledgeable and friendly. Robert was also helpful, and Richard was informative when I made a mistake in scheduling the wrong order of inspections. The office also was helpful to make sure to apply for the right permit. Sometimes calling I could not get ahold of somebody but often just called back a little later and was able to speak to someone.

I work as a permit coordinator for a local contractor in the Denver/Front Range area and we frequently do work in Centennial, and have for quite a few years. The Centennial Building Department is consistently efficient when processing permits, and their staff are always friendly.

They've recently been making some changes to their processes, specifically the introduction of more remote inspections, which is great to see. It cuts down on travel time and expenses for their inspectors, wait time for our crews, and allows them to get more inspections done in one day. It also helps prevent any delays that would otherwise negatively impact the homeowners and business owners we work for, so it's a win all of the way around.

I work in the water and fire restoration filed and deal with nearly every building department in Denver and the surrounding areas. The City of Centennial's Building Dept. is hands down the best. They are efficient, helpful and very customer service oriented. A great change of pace from the typical authoritarian attitudes I encounter with nearly all the other departments around the city. Thanks for the breathe of fresh air Lisa, Richard and the rest of your team!
