(September 16, 2018, 7:30 pm)Great food, nice room, friendly owners, great area. It was almost perfect for our group retreat. They graciously accommodated our moderate food restrictions. All sleeping rooms are in the second and third floor and there is no elevator. There are several gathering places on the first floor: cozy chairs and couches in the big room with a fireplace, chairs and couches in the movie room, a large well-lit room suitable for snacks and crafts, and a dining room for their excellent food.

(August 17, 2018, 5:07 pm)We enjoyed one night at the Allenspark Lodge as part of a multi-day Inn to Inn hiking experience in Rocky Mountain National Park. We arrived on foot at the end of our hiking day. The host met us at the door when we arrived and showed us around their 'home'. We enjoyed our stay, there are a few things you should know if you are considering. The room was clean and comfortable. There is no cell service in Allenspark and internet access via WiFi is very limited. Bathroom and shower is shared by all the guests and the shower is as rustic as the building. The shower and bathroom were clean and provided all necessities. The only food option in Allenspark is at the nearby Rock Creek Tavern & Pizzeria where we enjoyed an excellent supper of pizza and salad.
The family that owns and operates the lodge is VERY friendly and helpful. They clearly love hosting you in their lodge. The lodge has interesting and comfortable common rooms for the guests. The highlight of our stay was breakfast. The Hot breakfast is served family style at large tables. Clearly, the hosts take great pride in providing an excellent breakfast. -

(August 2, 2018, 4:31 pm)Hospitable hosts in a charming rustic lodge. They take pride in their breakfasts, which were tasty. Expect small rooms and poor temperature control as is typical of 86 year old hotels. The hosts were friendly and helpful. I would like broader check in hours and at least have the garbage emptied once during the stay. But otherwise the bed and breakfast was delightful. Warning, dinner in this small village is hard to come by, especially if you are in the mountains late.

(April 25, 2018, 4:13 am)I have been visiting Allenspark Lodge for five years, it is a great place in history to stay. Sure they have all the characteristics of an old hotel, but if you were is as old as this place you would squeak to. The hosts Bill and Juanita are the friendliest couple. Every meal is unique. If you are in search of a comfortable, yummy and great place to stay with great hosts, no need to look any further.
