First Flatiron

One of the best hikes in my area. It is a little difficult, but you don't need that much experience to get to the get top. It is not too dangerous, but always be mindful when hiking in unfamiliar territory. Also if you don't want to pay for parking, make sure to drive a few blocks away on a side street in the residential areas. I've parked there a dozen or so times and have never been towed. It's a gorgeous hike, and a wonderful way to spend part of a day.

This is one of the Boulder Classics. Take the hike up from Chautauqua for some stellar views of Boulder and Colorado's Front Range. For novices: the hike should be considered strenuous. If you are an experienced climber, there are many fine low/moderate difficulty routes up the First Flatiron.

One of the symbols of Boulder. The hike here is pretty easy, but be careful in winter as it may be slippery. For the views of the mountains, I'd recommend climbing Green Mountain instead, but for the views of Boulder and beyond, this is great.

A beautiful scenery. A very popular location for people coming from out of state. Trail is not too intense.

Beautiful location for sunrise hikes. The views are breathtaking. It's a tougher hike then it looks but it is absolutely worth it. Come early though before the trail becomes filled with other visitors.
