  My husband and I took Erika's course in preparation for the birth of our first child. While apprehensive at first, we both really enjoyed the class and felt fulfilled in our search for pre-labor education. It was the only class we took! Having intentional time together was so needed and important, and the nuts and bolts of labor that we learned left us feeling prepared. Erika holds space beautifully, in a relaxed and confident way. She shared her knowledge freely and also left plenty of space for our questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Birthing from Within with Erika!

  My husband and I were hoping for a birth class that wasn't too clinical and cold~ we wanted a place where we could explore the spiritual/emotional side of becoming parents, and going towards birth and labor, but we also really wanted the practical information. We really wanted sustenance, and nothing that was just too fluffy... this class was perfect!! Such a perfect blend. We both felt so much insight into our inner worlds, and each other's, and got to move through certain blocks or fears we had been carrying. It was very bonding and confidence building for us!
  
  The room is beautiful and comfortable, homey and artistic, and I so appreciated the way Erika held the space, lighting candles for each of us each night, and guiding our focus to finding what we needed to know about ourselves in order to grow and prepare for birth.... but the atmosphere was also very relaxed and we laughed a lot! :-)
  
  The practical wisdom was also super thorough, and we both felt really empowered by the end. By the end of the 6 weeks we knew much more about what to expect throughout late pregnancy and labor, learned valuable tools, were prepared to make informed choices, and had more bearings around how to navigate the post-partum time. The pain coping techniques I also found extremely helpful and confidence building!
  
  For the price of this class, you really get a LOT of love, attention, and help. My husband and I both highly recommend. Thank you, Erika!

  I found this to be one of the most beneficial classes we did leading up to the birth.

  Erika is a gifted teacher and space holder and shares her extensive expertise in her field with passion and love. The weekend birth class we took with her could not have been a better fit for our needs. My husband and I had an experience that was meaningful as well as walking away with a great deal of relevant and useful information. I highly recommend Erika!

  Erika's class was a great balance between learning the nuts and bolts of childbirth, tools for pain management, and how to think about birth as a sacred and loving experience. I left feeling empowered and prepared (as well as possible) for what we're about to experience. I highly recommend taking her class.
