(March 17, 2019, 2:45 pm)The servers are surly and the food is delicious. Heidi's Brooklyn Deli is an old fashion sandwich shop. Breakfast is served all day long. I love places like this. Prices are reasonable for an airport eatery.
I ordered a veggie sandwich without cheese, it was big enough for two. My traveling companion ordered her favorite comfort food, a toasted cheese sandwich.
The bread on both sandwiches is custom baked, fresh and delicious. The vegetables are overstuffed into two thickly slices off whole wheat bread. The result is delicious. Both hot and cold sandwiches are made with the same care.
The toasted cheese sandwich was built with Swiss cheese. A unique delicious flavor.
The meats in their sandwiches are from organically fed animals. Vegetables are garden fresh. I'm told their hot pastrami is not to be believed.
Bathrooms are nearby in the airport hallway. Unfortunately, you must have a ticket and pass through security to enjoy Heidi's Brooklyn Deli. -
