  Wow….look at me now! Thanks to Body Concepts I went from flabby to fabulous! I have tried several diets; all with the same avail, momentary weight loss. Not this this time…Rick was not only my trainer but also a mentor; he taught me how to eat healthy (aka: clean) and how to workout. Rick is knowledgeable, encouraging, and patient; with his encouragement and my commitment I was able to reach all of my fitness goals! This experience not only changed my body, it changed my life. I am healthier, happier, and more confident! Thank you Rick, I could not have done it without you…I AM DONE WITH DIETING!

  Imagine a note from your spouse posted on the calendar where you write your weight each day. The note says..."You look awesome!", "I am SO proud of you!"What can I say that this note from my husband doesn’t already tell you? Like many, I have always struggled with my weight; one day, while looking up “fitness” and “gyms” on-line, I came across Body Concepts. Body Concepts caught my eye because they were “friends” with Oxygen Magazine. I had always admired the ladies in Oxygen and wondered what all this weight lifting and clean eating was about. I thought I ate fairly healthy and tried to exercise…wasn’t that enough?? Well, when I walked through Rick’s door, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had never worked out with a personal trainer before and the thought of free weights was very intimidating for me. Rick calmed my nerves by explaining how the whole process would work and what I would be expected to do. I started working out with Rick in May of 2012. It wasn’t any kind of crazy meal/exercise plan but it certainly made me think and become much more prepared than I had been. The hardest part for me was understanding the nutrition (beef ribs aren’t a form of lean protein? Who knew??). I had to learn that eating six times a day is more about getting the correct nutrition in your body so it can build those all-important muscles (the ones that burn all that fat!). I typically lift three days a week for just one hour each day; I know as I get closer and closer to my goal, I will need to do cardio but for now, I’m taking it one step at a time. I’ve always known that I have the gift of determination (I think my husband refers to it as stubbornness) but Rick was able to help me take it to an entirely different level. As Rick and I were taking my week-22 progress pictures, I remember telling him, at one point (about 10 weeks into my program), I went through a mini-depression. At that time, the realization of my own potential brought on that depression. I remember “beating myself up”… “how much of my life had I wasted being overweight”?? Why didn’t a “Rick” find me twenty years ago? Don’t wait for Rick to find you – let him help you in taking your determination to a whole new level too! I do have Rick to thank for his guidance in me losing over 30 pounds in just 22 weeks, losing over 15 percent body fat, and going from a size 14 to a size 4. No one could have ever convinced me I could be a size 4 - no depression here now! Rick, thank you for all you have done and continue doing for me. Jill Alderton

  No regrets, money well-spent, met my body fitness goals! ~~ Weight / fitness training was on my "Wanna Do It" list since 1999. My defining moment to “Do it, dam**t!” arrived and for pretty simple reasons:
  • Strength. I could no longer make my bed (a king that sits in a frame) by myself. I was seriously worried about breaking a wrist while tucking sheets!
  • Vanity. I would be in Australia in October and I wanted to look fit in shorts, sleeveless tops and dresses, and swimsuits.
  • A No-Regrets Life. I pondered death and the things I would be glad I spent money on. The answer was a no-brainer: 40-50 years from now, the money I spent on fitness training would be money well spent and I would not regret it.
  ~~ Once I made the decision, the only fitness business I considered was Body Concepts. Intrigued by the before and after pix of their clients, I had been following their web site for several years and, frankly, Rick is his own best advertisement.
  ~~ So in July this year I signed up, a skinny flabby 50-something. By the end of September I was no longer fearing a broken wrist; I was showing off my newly “cut” arms; and though it was never a goal, I dropped a few pounds (a surprise because I was eating so much and so frequently!).
  ~~ If you are reading this review, then it’s because you are looking for a fitness trainer who you can help you attain the body and health you want. Rick is that trainer for me. Highly recommended, yes, indeed!
  ~~ P.S. Christmas, Hannukah, and birthdays occur throughout the year. Gift yourself or someone else with health!

  Rick is a no nonsense trainer. His help was key to getting me off the wrong path with poor diet and no exercise. Nothing but the facts here. If you want the truth about getting into shape and losing weight, he is the one to go to.
