Sandstone Care Detox Center

Sandstone Care is an excellent facility. The other treatment centers in our city are in mental health facilities that are crowed, noisy, and have uncaring staff that don't have the knowledge or experience with substance abuse patients and recovery. Sandstone Care has a medically safe detox program with medication assisted treatment. They truly care for the whole person. It is a comfortable, homelike facility. They limit the amount of patients, so they can focus on the patients they have.

They far exceeded our expectations for a treatment center. When released, patients can follow up for with intensive outpatient program that focuses on academics, and vocations, psychiatric care, individual therapy sessions, group sessions, and family therapy. This is an exceptional program with positive results. I cannot say how appreciative we are to the doctors, nurses, and techs that provided excellent care.

I got out of here a few days ago and I can tell you this is the best place for detox. I’ve gone to one prior that treated me like a rat and it was the exact opposite experience here. I was treated with respect and they helped me with everything I could need. Obviously detoxing is an uncomfortable experience but they make it as pleasant as possible and there’s somebody available 24/7 to help you. There’s TVs in the rooms with Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc so you can feel as close to home as possible. The food is really good and it’s all freshly cooked in house. There’s drinks & snacks available 24/7 too which is really nice. Smoke breaks every couple of hours starting early in the morning. It’s a common area so lots of people to talk to if you feel up to it as well as groups every day you can attend. They also help set you up with an aftercare plan so once you’re out you’re headed in the right direction.

Sandstone care was my turning point in my life! All the staff is committed to your recovery and helping you reach a point where you can stay sober. Yes the rules are not updated but the rule are indeed fair. The therapist, nurses and staff want to be sure nothing (cell phones, visitors, and other clients) are going to be detrimental to your treatment. You have to be committed to your treatment. You get what you put into your own recovery. I love sandstone care for everything they have done for me!!!! I highly recommend SSC for detox and recovery!!!!!!!!
