  I’ve had lessons with at least three swing coaches in the Piles Peak area and by far, Leighton is the best. He is genuinely interested in helping you improve not only your swing, but also what it takes to be successful mentally during on course play.
  He started my instruction with a 30 minute meeting to learn where I was at with my game and to formulate a plan to help me out during my 5 lessons. He was very thorough in not only addressing what I wanted to work on during our sessions but he also weaves how the lesson translates to the course.
  My general swing was the common over the top move with a closed club face resulting in horrible pull-hooks especially off the tee. By the end of the first lesson not only did Leighton diagnose my issue but he had me consciously working the ball both right to left and left to right.
  My handicap has already dropped 2 points after only 3 posted rounds and my actual scores are 7 to 8 strokes better than before I began working with him.
  If you love golf and are committed to getting better but don’t know how to get there, Leighton is your guy. You won’t regret it.

  Golf is hard. Period. Leighton makes it slightly less hard.
  
  I was fortunate enough to do The Tribe program with Leighton and it was the best money I have spent in my golfing career. We took a consistent 8-10 strokes off of my game in the months we had together, going from shooting on average 91-93 to a consistent 82-83.
  
  Leighton has an extremely easy going personality and is just a pleasure to be around during the lessons. He approaches his instruction with feedback that truly resonates. I have done group lessons with him as well, and there is never a one size fits all approach. He studies your movement, gets to know you mentally, and applies his feedback appropriately. His focus on the mental aspect is unlike anything I have experienced with other instructors.
  
  Injuries have kept me from the course, but Leighton still checks in. Once you commit to him, he commits to you. His passion for the game comes through. I highly recommend starting with a lesson and see what I am talking about. You will join The Tribe in no time.

  Leighton has been my daughters golf instructor for 6 years. My daughter Madison enjoys going each week, because he makes it fun as well as informative with his teaching style. He has helped her to develop into a quality golfer with a good fundamental swing. Each week at Jr Tribe, he works with her on swing, situational golf, course management, and golf etiquette. My wife and I really appreciate the life lessons he teaches during the sessions. He focuses on being a quality person not just a quality golfer. He routinely asks how my daughter’s grades are doing and reinforces the importance of education. The thing I like most about Leighton is that he is invested in the kids. For example, the morning of regionals he took the time to call my daughter and give her a pep talk before her round. It meant a lot to her and gave her a boost of confidence before she teed off. ~Todd B.

  Leighton is an awesome coach that helps with all the different skill sets plus mindsets that you need in golf. Leighton breaks down your swing and puts one fix at time to make the necessary changes to get a good swing. It is well worth the effort to follow his guidance not only physically but mentally

  Leighton is an incredible coach. He breaks down your swing and addresses faults very quickly. He then gives you drills to work on that correct those faults. The best part is you can use those drills on your own time to continue improve. I can’t recommend Leighton Smith Golf enough to anyone who is serious about improving their game.
