(March 28, 2019, 8:43 pm)Beautiful, but Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever! This is our absolute favorite place to hike. The crowds are small, the trails are so well up-kept, and the landscape is breathtaking. It is close to Denver, and it feels like worlds away. Just one note of caution: please protect yourselves against ticks! I hardly think this park is abnormally infested, but we did get a verified case of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever from a tick bite from Golden Gate State Park. It is in no way their fault, and it is not an abnormality in any way. It is just a reminder to prevent tick bites and to check yourselves for ticks after any hike. Please, please hike safely in the beautiful Colorado wilderness :)

(March 15, 2019, 12:57 am)A short hop from downtown Denver, this Mountain Park provides fabulous views of the Front Range! There are plenty of roadside pullouts with parking and picnic facilities. There's also an excellent network of Roads to explore the interior of the park. Not to be missed are the Fall colors!

(March 4, 2019, 1:17 am)The park was very beautiful with a great scenery and the snow made it even more magnificent. We decided to drive through the park on our was back to the #Denver area but didn't realize there was an entry fee. We stopped at one area that had wonderful views of the snow covered mountains and saw the sign that said fee or permit required. That was kind of a bummer because we didn't see a shack to pay like in other parks. We are not from the area so we were a bit unfamiliar with the process. Still get views and I would recommend to anyone!

(February 25, 2019, 9:47 pm)I love hiking the trails while at the park. We stayed with another couple in one of their cabins. It was great, I don't remember it having any power or water but we're used to tent camping~
