(February 11, 2019, 7:29 pm)Ward did a relatively small project for me this summer – consisting of installing new hardwood flooring, small area of new tile, and refinishing one room of hardwood flooring. Overall, I’m happy with the finished product and the quality of their work, but the process was painful. (Note - I have done a substantial amount of work on my 1930s home so I am used to dealing with contractors!) When I first met with Dave Ward for an estimate, he seemed knowledgeable and I wanted to hire a local contractor. However, as the work progressed at my house, the severe lack of communication, Ward’s apparent disconnect from what was happening at the project, and some obvious mistakes (initially refinishing the floor in the wrong room, for example) made the process extremely frustrating. After repeated complaints, I will say that Ward went out of their way to make things right and to correct their mistakes. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and believe that my project was one that just initially “fell through the cracks” as it does seem that most of the employees do care about their customers’ satisfaction and their reputation in the community. A couple of the employees expressed to me that they were hoping to improve communication with customers in the future.

The install process went well, and we have done nothing to them since and they look like they were installed yesterday. Honestly, every single visitor we have to the house comments how good the floors look. Highly recommended.

Everyone was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to tell me about the seasoning process, sanding and finishing. You can't go wrong here - I'll recommend them to others for sure.
