Denver Mountain Guiding

We had THE most wonderful experience here. Kevin organized a last-minute, next-day excursion for us in the matter of hours, and put us directly in contact with our amazing guide, Dylan, immediately after booking.

Dylan was the perfect guide: he was responsive and easy to find, brought extra layers with him for the cold (we would not have survived the 40-degree weather without!), and made our first time climbing outdoors super memorable (also took pics of us while climbing!). We were a group of beginner indoor and novice climbers, so he started us off on super manageable routes (5.4), and walked us through hand and foot placements from below on intermediate ones (5.10). I really appreciated his patience with all of our questions, his energy throughout the session, and his fun/chill vibe -- felt like we were just hanging with a friend most of the time.

I also think this place beats most in Denver value-wise -- other companies seem to charge double what we paid for 4 hours for only 2-hour sessions. Will definitely climb with Dylan again in the future when in Denver, and HIGHLY recommend booking with DMG!!

Dylan was great! He tailored the climbing to our abilities and made sure we got what we wanted out of our day. He was laid back while also attentive to safety. We had a fun day! Highly recommend.

Awesome time brushing up on lead skills at clear creek. Sam was super cool and taught me a lot. I was able to feel comfortable challenging myself to climb harder than I thought I could!

I had the privilege to go on a private two hour tour with Sam. He was informative, patient, encouraging and most importantly fun. He picked a beautiful spot and allowed all three of us time to enjoy what he does for a living. This company was super friendly and very communicative from the moment I booked. Sam represent this company well and I suggest you booking with him as a guide. He even took some great pictures for us. This was our first time in Colorado and rock climbing but we will be sure to return and book with Denver mountain guiding again. Thanks again Sam for a great experience.

I had an exceptional time hiring Denver Mountain Guides to teach me how to get into trad climbing.

1) Getting things started was easy. Prices are up front and on their website. I called Kevin and he answered right away, and we arranged a time to talk about my goals. He then set me up with one of his guides, Nathan.

2) Instructions were clear on when and where to meet; I also quickly discussed with Nathan before the first outing where and when we would go.

3) I had a great time with Nathan: his recommendations for climbs were fantastic and entirely appropriate for my level and skill. Not only that, Nathan has some real enthusiasm for climbing, teaching and meeting people: I felt safe the whole time, felt like I was being taught by someone who has put time into learning good safety skills AND has spent time figuring out how to teach it well. Plus he’s a really chill and easy-going person to get along with.

Would highly recommend: it’s a great company with very friendly and hardworking people who love the mountains and are happy to share that love with others.
