A Better Back Clinic

I am a 59 year old male. I eat well and am athletic. I went in to Better Back with the most severe pain I've yet experienced in my life after talking with some friends and seeing my GP (who ordered x-rays and an MRI). On a scale of 1 to 10 I rated my pain at 9 or maybe 8. 10 means I can't speak.

Dr. Luck took his own x-rays and a set questionnaire we talked through. He did not treat me on the first visit instead taking time to understand the condition and situation. I also provided the diagnostics from the GP's review. Dr. Luck went through it all with me. After that, lots of cracking.

Dr. Luck is down to Earth, personable, and focused. No nonsense, even. Treatments go pretty fast.

I can't really describe the pain I was in. It changed who I was as a person and affected my ability to think and reason while I was in its thrall, about 6 weeks. It was bad, I thought I might have to quit my desk job and become disabled. Quite a change for a 6' 2" 200 lbs guy who regularly rode centuries and climbed 14k mountains on his bike.

So, long story short: I got 2x per week treatments and did my at home therapy. It took about 4 weeks to wean off large amounts of ibuprofen and make it to the end of the work day. Haven't taken ibuprofen for 8 or so weeks now.

I will still require surgery, I will still require physical therapy, I will deal with this for the duration of my life. But that pain is gone. At the absolute least Better Back gave me the chance, time and tools to deal with this. But really, I couldn't have lived a normal life with that pain. So from, that vantage point, it's probably not an exaggeration to say I was given my life back. I'm very thankful for that and wanted to write Kevin, Cali, Jessie, and Jeanine a thoughtful and thorough review. And say thanks. I'll work to be a good partner in my treatment.

Dr Luck and his staff are a great team. I hesitated at first and wasn't sure if a chiropractor would help. Trust me it takes time and glad I took advantage of it. Jessie is always friendly to folks. They even offer an amazing massage package. Highly recommend!

Dr. Luck and his staff are outstanding. I suffered for decades with neck and back pain most would find intolerable. An employee of mine convinced me to try her Chiropractor. I have trust issues, but was desperate. A thorough evaluation and treatment plan was undertaken. A holistic approach with multiple therapies was accomplished. After a few months Dr Luck and his staff had undone years of neglect I had accumulated on my body. I now am at an every other week maintenance adjustment. Before treatment I was expecting to be wheelchair bound in a few years. After a few years of treatment I am still able to walk and the pain level is substantially reduced. I strongly encourage you to seek assistance early and not let your body degrade like I did mine. Give Dr Luck a chance to help you.
