  This is a lovely home for loved ones to engage with others and still be in a welcoming environment without taking away their sense of independence.

  I've worked for Rocky Mountain Assisted Living for 5 years and as an advocate of the elderly, I can assure you I would never invest so much of my heart and time into a company that doesn't love its Residents. The owner isn't in it for the glory or money... he truly wants to make a difference in the lives of Seniors and is continuously trying to come up with innovative ideas to make his contributions to the community more meaningful and the care the Residents receive more worthwhile. I've never worked in a community where the owner visits each location routinely. The company has several employees who have worked here for several years, even though it is a fairly new organization. We're empowered to make decisions that affect our daily jobs and the care of the Residents, something that I've never experienced in another community before.
  
  The staff at the Newland House love their Residents. Visiting the home, it's very obvious quality time has been spent with the folks that is not in front of the TV. The house is adorned in pictures of outings and arts and crafts the Residents have participated in. The Residents are taken on two outings a month (the ladies most favorite spot is the nail salon, but they've gone to the zoo, movies, lunch, bowling, and plays- to name a few). While working with individuals with memory impairment can be challenging, the staff truly love the people who live at the home. Stop by the home unannounced and you'll see the difference.
  
  Rocky Mountain Assisted Living has the challenge of providing quality care to all of its Residents. This includes making hard decisions to keep everyone safe (something I want for my parents when the time comes). Often times, these decisions can cause families and previous employees to be disgruntled but that is a risk that the company is willing to take to ensure its current Residents are provided a safe, warm and loving environment.
  
  If you're in the process of looking for memory care or Assisted Living, I would encourage you to call your local Ombudsmen (Resident rights specialist) and ask for recommendations. I can assure you they would recommend Rocky Mountain Assisted Living as a facility that provides loving, quality care to its Residents.
