  I was urged by Jeffrey Freed, author of "Right-brained Children Living in a Left-brained World," to switch to Alpine Valley School when my child began experiencing problems in a conventional school. The transformation was almost instantaneous! Six years later, my only regret is that I did not discover this school earlier. My child can't wait for the weekend and holidays to be over so he can get back to Alpine Valley School. I have watched him take on roles of responsibility that serve the school community and offer priceless learning experiences for real life. He is truly passionate and focused in his learning. I know this school works because I have met many of the graduates. Thank you Alpine Valley School!

  I have had two children at Alpine Valley School - one graduate and one still attending. I couldn't be more happy with my children who have become interesting people, doing productive things with their lives.

  I've been involved with Alpine Valley School since 1998. As a former public school teacher, I've found Sudbury schooling everything I dreamed of when I went into education, with none of the nonsense that increasingly plagues conventional schools. Children here receive a great deal of personal attention, and they're empowered to find their own paths to identifying and achieving their goals. Our long-term students and alumni alike exhibit a level of responsibility, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and persistence that I marvel at every day.

  I have been involved with Alpine Valley School for 3 years now. The students truly benefit from the freedom they have to build their own education. They mature into responsible and intelligent adults as evidenced by Alpine Valley School's alumni and their success. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for something different than the convention.
