Elissa is a wonderful physical therapist. She does a great job of targeting the injury. She gives guidance on how to maintain activity and exercise levels without further aggravation to the injury. Highly recommend!

Empower is unique, because Elissa can use her physical therapy knowledge while personal training to address any weaknesses before they become an injury. In my opinion this is the best combination! Elissa Jacob at Empower PT "saved" my husband in one session from excruciating back pain! He injured his lower back in a fall and for 2 months experienced pain he described as a "9". He spent weeks in bed while we waited for one Dr. appointment after another. Finally we decided to find a private-pay physical therapist who could see him immediately. Elissa worked him into her schedule the same day we called, and after ONE HOUR, his pain dropped from a 9 to a 4!! It was amazing! What a gift!

My husband has continued to work with Elissa, and it has been worth every penny! We are so glad we didn't wait for insurance approval (which we have still not received!) and called Elissa. We highly recommend her.

I have been under the care of Dr. Elissa Jacobs for therapy to recover from meniscus repair surgery. Without Elissa's assistance and the regimen of home exercises she provides, I do not believe that I would be as far along in my recovery as I am. Elissa is persistent in her approach, yet always listening to my concerns. She is focused on keeping to the protocol established by the surgeon, yet mindful of my need to progress at a pace consistent with my recovery. Elissa is a one of a kind PT. It is reassuring that she has her doctorate and more knowledge about the human body than most. Even with that Elissa is able to talk to me and explain in terms that I can understand. She not only has great conversational skills and is a wonderful instructor, she physically demonstrates different moves and techniques in multiple ways so it is clearly understood. She is able to adapt movements to fit my physical abilities so that I can see day to day progress and success. Elissa is kind, compassionate and most of all encouraging.
