Caretakers of this park could stop by on a regular basis and help clean up after people’s dogs. We, of course, clean up after our own but we seem to always been picking up after those lazy and inconsiderate people that will unfortunately always exist before we let our dog run around. Extra maintenance with this would be great, or enforce regulation against the violators.

I love when I am passing through an area and there is a dog park! I always bring my dog to travel with me, and he likes to be with me but gets a little depressed on long car rides. It's nice to get out so that he can wander around in nature. Thus, I typically rate all dog parks with five stars. I am giving this one four stars instead of five, because of the turf. This dog park has gravel instead of grass. I will admit, the park appears cleaner because of this, but, I don't like my dog to run on gravel, because it seems to hurt his feet, and it can get too warm in the summer when the sun is baking the gravel. This park could also use a water feature or a drinking fountain inside the dog park.

My pups love this place! Open and clean area that gets decent traffic but not too busy. The go to spot for my dogs.

One of the best dog parks I have ever been to. Great amount of space and lots of dogs to meet and have my puppy socialize with. Very chill owners for the most part. Becoming a regular here.

This is my favorite dog park of the options in town. We have also tried Soft Gold Dog Park, Spring Canyon (Horsetooth) Dog Park, Fossil Creek Dog Park, and the dog park near CSU’s Annual Trial Garden. This one is a good size. It is large enough for the dogs to get those crazy zoomie runs in, but not so big that you can’t intervene if there is an incident with another dog. There are very rarely too many dogs for the space. It is often just the right number of dogs. My dog also has many friends there because we are all regulars that come almost daily. We actually moved to the south side of town because we were spending so much of our day just driving to and from Twin Silos Dog Park. Once we turn left at the roundabout, our dog starts going crazy!

There is also a fairly large separate shy/small dog area, and a fountain for filling water bowls and bottles just outside the park (where owners of both shy and large dogs can access it). Many bowls are provided/left in the park for dogs.

Another fun thing to note is there are fantastic sunset views there. There is nothing directly west of the dog park that obstructs the view of the mountains, so it is always a beautiful scene in the evenings. The dirt/finely crushed gravel easily brushes out of my dog’s hair once it dries. After he wrestles for hours at the dog park, I like to just ruffle his hair and then make him shake, sending a big cloud of dirt/dust into the air. Anything else I can easily get with a wire brush that is used for preventing mats, and then wipe away with a wet wipe. Just a little tip!

The only con to this dog park is that there isn’t a light post for the evening dog park goers. I think that is just a matter of writing the city government to petition for a lamp to be installed there. I would like to see how many late night dogs show up when there is actually light!

**The videos I added were during less busy times at the dog park.
