My mother in law lived there under a year. The staff were very kind and caring, which was most important. The food was good. The communication could have been better, and staff turnover quite high. Definitely room for improvement, but we also really appreciated the loving and dedicated staff that gave so much of themselves.
I can't begin to thank and recommend the Aspen House enough for all of the great care and support that they give my mother Lisa. She has been living there since February with Alzheimer's / dementia, and they truly create an environment that is catered to the needs of each resident and everyone there so friendly and helpful! Forever grateful! -Mark
If you do not work in the facility and don't have first hand knowledge of what is happening in our walls you have no RIGHT To comment on how this facility is ran. Our Executive director did not fire anyone. When your child, WALKS OUT and ABANDONS their shift, they are therefore turning in their immediate resignation and or is grounds for termination. Regardless of what is going on in the medication rooms; it is not affecting their job to care for our residents. If you yourself have first hand knowledge of what it is to be in a health care facility, then you know that there are people that you can and can't work with. But it's the residents who make your daily job worth it. If your child was actually standing up for how the residents ARE supposed to be taken care of they wouldn't have left their job in the first place causing a staffing shortage.
Because that's creates the issue of residents being left ALONE, so therefore the only person in the wrong is your child and her friend.
It is those who expect the will of others to bend around theirs that don't belong in a health care facility.
so many people cannot see that our executive director is already spread thin, and yet don't have the common sense of coming in for their shifts on time and or not abandoning them. As an obsrverver I would be proud to have a family member here as well the ED is the best; MOST supportive executive director that this facility could ask for.
Best of wishes to your daughter
