Paradise Cove / Guffey Gorge

Gotta be on of the best short trails in Colorado. Easy clear trail to the pool and if you go further after that you could see beautiful view of the boulders surrounded by water.

Such a beautiful hike from start to finish! It's a short distance but definitely moderate, especially if you're not used to rocky terrain. Good shoes are a must! We spent an afternoon here and absolutely loved it! It was May and we only saw a few other people who stayed for a short time. There are bathrooms by the parking lot as well which is a nice plus!

The payment situation was a bit frustrating but that was on us for not researching before going. We didn't have service there to do the scan and pay and also didn't have exact change or a pen. We eventually met some nice strangers, found a pen, and over paid with whatever cash we had on hand.

Still, I can't recommend this hike enough! It's truly serene and beyond worthwhile! 🙌🏻

The moment we got there we learned that there had already been a few deaths this year alone. Be careful and follow the guide and signs that they have all over the place. I personally don’t think it’s safe for kids because the Hike can be a little dangerous, however if you do take kids be very careful and take your time, it’s not dangerous the entire walk mainly once you’ve arrived. Park Rangers we’re there the entire time we spent at the cove. The water is freezing Lol, Also it’s not that deep considering that many will cliff jump. My husband said that he would touch the rocks and land kind of sitting down, same thing with our friends. No alcohol too. Other than that, It’s a nice place to spend some time, perhaps eat some snacks or lunch, over all it’s a great view and the place to take pics of course :) Awesome views btw!

This was a super fun day trip! 3 of us made the drive and got there around 10 am on a Thursday. It wasn't very busy and the weather was beautiful! the Water was really cold since it wasn't a super warm day but if you decide to cliff dive your body gets focused on other things ;) The hike is really short and pretty steep but once you get to the cove there are multiple areas to sit and enjoy the nature

This was a easy hike. $6 parking fee, with plenty of space. No alcohol, pets on leashes. Cliff jumping, lots of warning signs about it also. We went further down the creek found not much more. The area was clean and well maintained. Great family swim hole, or a place to hang with friends for a few hours. Only down fall the drive on I25. We came back through Pine mutch better drive.
