Chaparral Park General Store

Rob and Dustin are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. And their willingness to share their fishing knowledge of current conditions has helped make my trips very successful. Fishing this past week was so phenomenal that I extended my stay an additional night(Great cozy bunkhouses). Going off of Rob's fly recommendations and what parts of the lake to fish, I caught lots of trout, all over 21", and 90% in less than 2' of water. The cooler weather has turned Spinney on! The best week I've ever had fly fishing. Highly recommend stopping in on your way to the lake to say hi and find out what's working and where to go, may save you a day or two of trying to figure it out on your own....

Very friendly staff with an incredibly sweet pupper watching over the place! We were camping at Eleven Mile and needed a few things, worth the drive and the eleven mile pass got us into the Spinney Mountain area across the way for no extra cost! Store had a lot to choose from, even got to buy some eggs for a good breakfast! They also have a first come first serve camping ground directly next to them, super cool!

Chaparral Park and an old time General Store. The outside area of the store reminds me of Little House on the Prarie. There are even has the dogs 🐕 walking around on the property. OMG.....so many things to look at in here.

We stopped for a few fishing 🎣 lures and flies. Which of course they had. Plus a little bit of everything else. I wanted to hangout for a bit and look around. The woman running the store was so friendly and knew where everything was. She even knew the names of the fishing items were were looking for. Of course we needed power garlic trout bait and yep she had it. NICE job dear! If you stop in the General Store say hello 👋 🙂 🙃

Chaparral Park is a camping ground and also a rental place to house your RV or boat. It is open now and plenty of space is left rent.

Super friendly staff and solid prices, we ended up here after our originally plans fell through and decided this turned out way better. Close to plenty of great fishing, we bought a bundle of firewood, grilled dogs on skewers, flew kites, and at night say every star in the sky. Would highly recommend!

Cozy, more equipment than most fly shops. Very knowledgeable of area. Small grocery section, snacks, drinks and miscellaneous camping supplies you might have forgot. Rooms and campsites too.
