First and foremost the good work they do here is all for the rescued animals well being and a lot of the staff you encounter are volunteers. When you pay to go in please consider donating a little more than the entrance fee if you can. This place is one of only 2 or 3 large animal rescue sanctuaries that exist world wide. Bring binoculars or a camera with a zoom lens as you are on an exposed walkway above the animals and some of the enclosures are a ways away. You will walk 3 miles round-trip on this elevated walkway if you choose to walk the entire span. I spent 3 1/2 hours there. You are out in the elements so dress appropriately. There are bathrooms in the welcome center as well as more along the walk way. There are several snack bars and a gift shop. You will see Lions ????, tigers ????, bears ???? ( I resist the urge to say "oh my"), wolf, foxes, camels and any other large and exotic animal that a human being foolishly thought would make a good pet and then failed to be able to care for. I can't say enough about the life changing help they have provided to animals that humans have failed.
Great place to visit.and see big cats and bears.money goes to a good cause
Must due for the person who loves walking outside viewing an amazing to save damaged animals. Great for the entire family. Plan on 3 or 4 hours.
Now this is a way to enjoy seeing lions and tigers and bears...oh my!!! LOL! This was a great experience and the animals didn't look sick or sad!
This was our first time here, and we really enjoyed it. The entry video made us tear up a few times, and we learned SO much from the friendly staff. During winter it seems there aren't too many visitors, but it does get windy. So dress very warm! We walked through this place at a decent (possibly average) pace, and it took us about 3 hours, just to see the animals. All except for the bears were active and hanging around. We Will happily come back and show support to this sanctuary for decades to come!
