I recommend Dr. Amanda Collins-Baine wholeheartedly and hold her practice in the highest regard and esteem, as her care and thoroughness are two reasons I'm alive and well today. In November 2017, I went in with complaints of being "really tired" with a loss of sensation in my right hand and foot. I was convinced I had a B-12 deficiency with anemia. Dr. Collins-Baine did a bunch of tests--everything from mono to lyme--and everything was negative; I didn't have so much as a single vitamin deficiency. Under her care, Dr. Collins-Baine sent me to Dr. Jennifer Werely, an amazing neurologist in Greenwich, Connecticut. Dr. Werely ordered a script for a MRI, and she called me within 2 hours; never a good sign. It turns out that I had a 3", congenital brain tumor leaning against the lateral wall of my left ventricle. As a 30-year-old female, who has never been anything but healthy, Dr. Collins-Baine called regularly, up to the night before my surgery and the days afterward. She is an amazing, amazing doctor, and I credit her with saving my life.

It has now been 5 months since my surgery, and if you met me today, you would never know. This summer, I'll be attending Iowa's Writers' Workshop, the summer program associated with their MFA degree (the #1 creative writing program in the country), while I train for the Hamptons Half Marathon (I'm now up to 8 miles).

At the time of my surgery, my neurosurgeon at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital told my family that I probably only had "a couple" months left. Instead, I'm now taking this new opportunity to live.

    Thank you, Dr. Amanda Collins-Baine.

My husband and I are thrilled with Dr. Collins-Baine. She is professional, knowledgeable, kind and very responsive when we need her. She always knows who to call when we have to see a specialist and we have been very impressed with her choices. If you aren’t feeling well the last thing you need is to have to wait to see a doctor for days. Amanda is there for us and it really is a comfort.
