Perfect memorial to those who bravely served our country.
About Veterans Memorial Park
The Veteran’s Memorial Park was created in 1955, after the completion of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. This park honors the brave men and women of our country who fought and died in World War II and the Korean War. At the center of the park stands the memorial wall that lists just under 15,000 names of military personnel from Delaware and New Jersey that paid the Ultimate Sacrifice during World War II and the Korean War.
In the following years, other monuments were created to honor various people, places, and events with military significance.
The Park is maintained and operated by the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA). We encourage visitors to come visit the park any day between dusk and dawn. The DRBA hosts special services, on Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day, to honor our brave veterans, military families and fallen soldiers. For more information on these special services please click on the Services page.
Beautiful place to visit!! Its also a park so with that!! I play pokemon go with my kids and there are spin stops and gyms here too!! Just fyi! For my pokemon players cops like to park and patrol this area.. So, make sure your out of your car while u are playing!!
I live in New Jersey but my work office is at an industrial park close by. I bring my puppy with me & walk around for about an hour in the evening. Not many people or animals & very well kept & peaceful! Beautiful memorials. I especially love the Gold Star family memorial!
Very quiet, nice area. Most people take their lunch breaks here. I don't recommend playing in grassy areas due to lack of dog owners not cleaning up after their pets.
Nice little park! Well kept! Plenty of parking! Friendly reminder of all those who served ! Great for a walk in the park or sit in car with lunch or just contemplate the day whatever you do or how you are doing it this is a nice quite place to do it! Plenty of open space! Easy to find!
